Courtney Swartz is an up-and-coming rider who competes across a number of different disciplines. Courtney currently competes her own My Son MJ and Pollyanna and is retraining her four year old OTTB Graspin' at Straws.

 

Courtney has received her bronze medal in dressage and is currently competing at the intermediate level in eventing. She trains with U.S. Olympian Lynn Symansky, FEI "O" Judge Linda Zang and accredited trainer Rachel Kennedy. 

 

Courtney began riding in the hunter world as a young rider with many wins on the A Circuit, while also rising through the levels of the United States Pony Club, representing USA on the international stage. Along with multiple wins throughout her eventing career, with appearances at the American Eventing Championships, Courtney has also broken many young horses and enjoys giving back to young riders. 

Courtney Swartz offers personalized lessons across a number of disciplines as she works towards building a partnership between horse and rider. Each student and horse combination will have a different and unique experience that is catered to specific goals and objectives using elements of the training pyramid.  

 

Courtney is experienced in teaching students of all ages and levels. In addition to her personal students, she has been an active instructor in local pony clubs within the Maryland/ Capital region and an instructor for the University of Maryland Equestrian Club.   

 

In addition to teaching, Courtney also offers training rides and exercise packages. Courtney has a large amount of experience riding different types of mounts and has the ability to train green or difficult horses as well. 

 

As every horse and rider’s needs are different, Courtney is geared towards creating a personalized program that benefits all parties. 

 

Courtney is able to teach or train on-site at Windsor Manor Stables located in Sandy Spring, MD or willing to travel as well.
